Joseph (Joey) Fenwick brings a strong background as an accountant to his role as Wealth Manager at Flourish Wealth Management. He joined the firm as a reflection of his long-term goal to enter the financial planning profession because it fully aligns with the opportunity to help clients in a holistic manner. Joey was an Accounting and Finance dual major at St. Cloud State University which positioned him to begin his career at Curtis D. Sharp, Ltd. as a staff accountant where he also earned the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
He continued his accounting career at Hoffman & Swintek, LLC where he worked with individuals and businesses on tax planning, implementation, and cash flow management. Transitioning to the Wealth Manager role at Flourish allows Joey to exercise his natural curiosity about addressing the complete financial picture for clients, grow with a firm that has a client-focused environment, and align his personal philosophies and values.
Joey has participated in a number of volunteer opportunities including The Salvation Army where he supported the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program to help lower-income individuals and families with tax preparation. He has also been a regular volunteer at Feed My Starving Children and anticipates supporting additional charitable programs in the future. Joey is currently a member of the Minnesota Society of CPAs and the Minnesota Board of Accountancy, with plans to join the Minnesota Financial Planning Association (FPA) as he prepares to be a candidate in the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP®) program.
Joey grew up in Anoka, MN, where he currently lives with his wife, Liz, and their two young children Emerson and Kennedy.
