News from Flourish
Despite the mid-April cold snap and the fact that Jay was out shoveling snow while I was finishing up this newsletter, Spring has sprung here at Flourish Wealth Management and we are certainly grateful for it! With many milestones, news features, events and professional development experiences to share, it is hard to know where to begin. Along with the recent launch of our new website, we have rolled out quite a few professional initiatives to help the Flourish Team maximize our strengths and work together effectively. We were fortunate to have a colleague and friend guide us through the Clifton StrengthsFinder process in order to help each member of the Flourish Team discover their greatest natural talents and explore how we can most effectively integrate those strengths as a team to accomplish our shared goals.
We will celebrate our 5 year anniversary on April 16th and it has given me pause to reflect on how much has been accomplished in these past five years. I am proud of the growth of Flourish Wealth Management, grateful for the growth that I have experienced as a leader, and incredibly appreciative of the client and professional relationships we have developed. This has been a great opportunity to Flourish!

News from Flourish
The final quarter of 2018, as well as the entire year, has been a whirlwind of excitement and professional growth for the Flourish team. Our newest team member, Nicole Swanson, joined us at the beginning of November and we are grateful for her contributions in her role as Wealth Manager, her passion and dedication to servicing our clients, and for moving from Madison to join us here in Edina. Thanks, Nicole!
Michele Lenz joined us toward the end of 2017 and through hard work and perseverance earned the CFP® designation in August of 2018. And Michelle White joined us in April 2018 as Client Services Manager and has proved to be an invaluable addition to our little family, leading our custodian relationships and supporting our compliance process which is always top of mind in a wealth management firm. We have received wonderful feedback from our clients about our growing team and we look forward to continuing to provide high-quality services in the coming year.

News from Flourish
On behalf of the entire team at Flourish Wealth Management, we want to thank all of the supporters who attended the book launch party in Edina on September 17th. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces in the audience and share the excitement of the evening with everyone. I have also received supportive e-mails and calls from people that couldn’t attend the event, along with some positive comments about Flourish Financially. I have often compared the process of writing a book to having a baby, and based on the early feedback and support it looks like me and my “baby” are making some positive first steps.
The book launch party wrapped up a busy couple of months as summer came to a rapid conclusion in Minnesota. We share some stories about the book in the pages below along with market comments and other updates.

News from Flourish
Happy Summer! I hope this newsletter finds you well and that you enjoyed Independence Day last week. We closed the office for two days for the team to better enjoy the mid-week holiday. My family spent the day catching up on projects around the house while reminding our younger kids that the 4th of July was not the official holiday of staring at online videos, then convinced our kids into a nice 9 holes of golf and a family dinner. Although not the most stressful or energetic of celebrations, it was still a tad difficult to get back into the swing of things come Friday morning! I suppose that is the downside of having a holiday in the middle of the week. You don’t want the fun to stop.

News from Flourish
As the warm weather slowly inches ever closer to our front doors we are grateful for the prospect of outdoor grilling, blooming flowers and some good old Vitamin D. The first quarter of 2018 has flown by at Flourish and we are excited for some wonderful upcoming events that we are participating in.
SAVE THE DATE
This year we are sponsoring two events that we also participated in last year. On May 10th, Kathy Longo will be chairing the annual YWCA Minneapolis’s Circle of Women luncheon. The Circle of Women fundraiser luncheon is an inspirational opportunity to support life-changing programs in the community, empowering women and girls and eliminating racism in profound ways. For more information about this event or to register to attend or donate please visit the YWCA Minneapolis website.
